A Playful Brand Identity and Website for a Mindfulness Education Brand

Mindful Champs, dedicated to introducing mindfulness to children's lives, sought to establish a brand identity and online presence that would resonate with both young minds and their guardians.

Collaborating closely with founder Nima Patel, I developed a vibrant brand identity, an engaging e-commerce website, and bespoke product designs to effectively launch the brand. The result is a playful yet sophisticated brand that inspires children to foster positive, healthy, and mindful practices, contributing to the development of happy, compassionate, and emotionally resilient individuals.

A Playful Identity with Purpose

The Mindful Champs brand brings inclusivity and playfulness to life through a rainbow-inspired palette, designed to evoke warmth and connection. The hand-drawn typography in the logo, with its charming smiley face in the ‘u,’ adds a touch of whimsy that feels youthful but refined.

Since launching, Mindful Champs has become a celebrated name, with placements in John Lewis, Selfridges, and Liberty of London, alongside features in The BBC, The Times, and The Guardian. This thoughtful yet bold identity solidifies its place as a leader in the mindfulness space.

Project Deliverables

  • The Mindful Champs brand was developed to radiate inclusivity, playfulness, and purpose. Using a rainbow-inspired palette and hand-drawn typography, I crafted an identity that appeals to both children and adults. The logo, with its subtle smiley face in the ‘u,’ adds charm without losing its professionalism, creating a timeless foundation for the brand.

  • The website was designed to be user-friendly and visually engaging, making it easy for parents, educators, and retailers to explore products and resources. With clean navigation, playful elements, and an intuitive layout, the site perfectly complements the brand’s vibrant identity while prioritising functionality and conversion.

  • I designed the series of mindfulness journals that support emotional well-being in children. From the Mindful Me Journal and its Early Years Edition to the Grief Journal (Gold winner at the Junior Design Awards) and the Divorce Journal for Children, each book features thoughtful design and engaging content to help children navigate big emotions.

  • The Mindset Matters affirmation cards were designed to inspire children through fun, engaging visuals and empowering messages. Spanning themes like self-love, gratitude, and navigating big emotions, each card is a burst of positivity with playful yet meaningful designs that encourage mindfulness in a way that resonates with kids.

  • Expanding beyond children, the Reflection Journal for Adults was created to provide a safe space for mindfulness and self-discovery. The design blends calming tones with clean, modern layouts, ensuring it resonates with an adult audience while aligning seamlessly with the brand’s overall aesthetic.

  • While working closely with Nima, the founder of Mindful Champs, to bring her vision to life, all the design work—from brand strategy to product design—was crafted solely by me.

    This collaboration allowed us to merge her expertise in mindfulness with my passion for impactful, thoughtful design, resulting in a cohesive and vibrant brand that truly stands out.
